OSMA, the Ohio Scholastic Media Association, solicited submissions
for a new logo,
specifying the logo
represent as many types of media as possible, such as print, broadcast, web, podcast, radio, etc. I used four colored boxes to comprise the four letters in the logo.
The print crop mark creates the O;
a pen and pencil—representing reporting in general—create the S;
a film strip and an interview vignette create the M;
lastly, the RSS feed symbol and a broadcast cameraperson create the A.
